Suzhou has welcomed a new wave of first stores recently, adding fresh places to eat, shop and explore.
FUFUSOUL
FUFUSOUL's first store in Suzhou has opened on the west side of Harmony Sky Screen, where a giant pink plush installation has quickly become a popular photo spot. The emerging lifestyle brand moves beyond conventional plush toys by combining them with fragrances, creating products designed to be companions, scented objects and collectibles all at once.

Yuishin Books
Yuishin Books, a new-style bookstore brand from Shenzhen, has opened its first Jiangsu outlet at Xujiangli in Gusu District. It boasts nearly 50,000 books spanning literature, social sciences, art, children's books and other categories. The store features a range of spaces and activities, including reading areas, modern Chinese-style tea, a picture book library and study rooms. Mirrored ceilings and an interplay of light and shadow create an immersive setting that blends an artistic atmosphere with a futuristic feel. The store quickly became a new tourist destination during its trial operations.

CITIC Books
CITIC Books has opened its first Suzhou store at Kunshan Urban Ecological Forest Park. Moving beyond the traditional bookstore model, the location includes a forest-themed reading room, a cafe, cultural and creative products, and a children's reading space, among others. The concept shifts the bookstore from simply selling books to offering experiences and spaces for people to enjoy.

Suzhou Museum Cultural and Creative Shop
The shop is located on the famous Shantang Street. With a curved ceiling, arched lights and bamboo elements, the shop is designed to evoke the atmosphere of a traditional Chinese boat. More than 450 cultural and creative products developed by the museum are on display, including a large installation inspired by the famous Sword of King Fuchai and merchandise based on "The Prosperous Gusu," a scroll painting created in the 18th century.

Morlake
Morlake's first Suzhou store has opened in Lili Ancient Town in Wujiang District. Drawing on the brand's years of experience in acupuncture and health care, the store offers a new approach to traditional Chinese wellness. Its interior combines glacier blue with warm yellow, and features cute mascots making an "OK" hand gesture. Products include portable wellness accessories, Chinese-style fragrances, customized herbal tea and items such as mugwort massage hammers, mugwort pillows, herbal bracelets and heating cups. Visitors can also enjoy osmanthus-and-plum juice and pear soup.
