As midsummer approaches and the craze for water fun strengthens, two premier water parks have reopened in Suzhou, offering exciting aquatic experiences in the city.
Suzhou Bay Dream Water World
Suzhou Bay Dream Water World 苏州湾梦幻水世界 opened on June 18, offering non-stop thrills.

From high-speed water slides and interactive bubble shows to dynamic wave pools and interactions with adorable mascots, the water world features all-day themed performances.

A highlight is the light and shadow show, which combines cutting-edge lighting, sound, fog effects, and 3-meter-high waves to create breathtaking scenes. Other attractions include River Rafting and Rainforest Time Tunnel.

Suzhou Amusement Land Water Park
Suzhou Amusement Land Water Park 苏州乐园森林水世界 opened its doors on June 19, with the launch of its WaterPop Wave Music Festival, which will run through August 30.

The park has undergone a full upgrade, positioning itself as Suzhou's trendiest summer hotspot centered on "music + socializing + adventure." New additions include exotic rainforest-themed landscapes and dopamine-inspired shaded leisure areas. With over 10 water attractions suitable for all ages, the fun never stops.

By day, visitors can enjoy street flash mobs, immersive live interactions, and open-air music gigs, plus a wide selection of snacks and buffet meals. By night, the wave pool transforms into an immersive electronic dance music arena, featuring professional MCs, DJs, and surprise appearances of celebrities. This is your one-stop destination for the ultimate summer splash.

In addition to the two water parks, Suzhou has unveiled several exciting new venues this summer.
ZIPPO China Museum
On June 8, ZIPPO China Museum officially opened its doors in Taicang Port Area.

Spanning 800 square meters, this unique museum houses a collection of over 3,000 iconic lighters. It innovatively blends intangible cultural heritage crafts, such as Suzhou embroidery, cloisonné, and filigree inlay, into its exhibits.

The museum features Nature Hall, Brand History Hall, China Pavilion, Multi-function Hall, and outdoor spaces. Together, they trace fire's journey from a natural element to a cultural symbol and a modern lifestyle statement, while offering a panoramic review of the brand's nearly century-long legacy and an up-close look at its craftsmanship and core technologies. With digital interactive elements and live-streaming, the museum also provides a highly engaging experience for online audiences.
Luxu Design Island
Luxu Design Island 芦墟设计岛 , a creative landmark blending art, design, and lifestyle aesthetics, made its debut on June 6.

Built on the site of a former furniture factory dating back to the last century, this island is a new lifestyle destination combining exhibitions, workshops, social spaces, and nature experiences.

With a total area of about 180 mu (12 hectares), the destination includes Design Art Museum, Designer Village, Creative Courtyards, and Design Park. Visitors can immerse themselves in exhibitions, hands-on activities, and leisurely strolls there.
Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory
On May 29, the historic Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory 苏州第一丝厂文化产业园区 reopened after a stunning renovation.

Originally built in 1926 as Ruifeng Silk Factory, Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory stands as one of China's oldest operating silk-reeling enterprises. Following the upgrade, the 54,000-square-meter site now takes on a new look with signature red-brick walls and mulberry trees.

While preserving its industrial heritage, the site introduces contemporary design studios, art bookstores, cafés with silk-themed cultural and creative products, and intangible cultural heritage workshops.
