Q&A about the Luggage Storage Service
Q: In which metro stations is the service available now?
A:
Citizen Center on Line 4, Chengzhan and Wan’an Bridge on Line 5, and Wushan Square on Line 7 are the first batch of pilot stations. Multiple sets of luggage lockers are set on the pay-for-use area in these stations, and passengers can log in to the applet of Hangzhou Metro on WeChat or Alipay, and then help themselves deposit or retrieve luggage following instructions.
Q: How many types of the luggage lockers are in service? And what size of luggage can be deposited?
A: There are three sizes of the luggage lockers in each station:
small, medium and large. Small bags, backpack and shopping bags are storable in the small locker; 21-inch suitcase is storable in the medium locker; 28-inch suitcase is for the large locker.
Q: Is the service chargeable?
A: The pilot period of the service begins from Aug 31 and ends on Sep 30.
During the pilot period, the service is for free and it provides free luggage storage and delivery for an 8-hour per session. As to those subjects that are deposited over 8 hours per session, the call-center employees of the storage service will contact the passengers and take corresponding measures towards the expired storage items according to the actual situation.After the pilot period, the self-service of luggage storage and delivery will be officially lunched from October. At that time, the charging standard will be changed: free for the first half hour, and the billing starts at the 31st minute. 2RMB per hour for the small locker, 4RMB per hour for the medium one and 5RMB per hour for the large one (
if the storage time is less than one hour, it will be charged as one hour), the maximum charge per 24 hours for the small, medium and large lockers are respectively 12RMB, 24RMB and 30RMB.
Q: What’s the service time of the stations?
A: The service of luggage storage and delivery is provided during the operating hours of each metro station.
Passengers are suggested to retrieve packages before 22:30, as they are not allowed to enter the metro stations after the closing time.
Q: What are other dos and don'ts?
A: 1. All luggage are storable after the subway security check. Passengers are suggested to take out valuables such as large amount of cash, jewelries and computers before the storage. Prohibited and restricted items such as flammable, explosive, and toxic substances, as well as fresh, frozen, and spoiled items are strictly prohibited in storage.
2. Free luggage storage and delivery for an 8-hour per session is available during the pilot period, and all passengers are supposed to retrieve luggage in due course of time.3. Passengers can check the position of the luggage lockers and the storage rate of empty lockers with the applet “小铁无忧存”. In case of emergency, call the 24-hour manual customer service hotline of the storage service [“小铁”: 400-1020-932].
