Local TV Station Starts English News Program

Chengdu Today, a news program in English, was inaugurated on November 30 by Chengdu Radio & Television. The program, broadcast on CDTV-1, the news and all-inclusive channel of the station, focuses on the measures and achievements of Chengdu in promoting high-quality development and openness to give a panoramic view of Chengdu as a dynamic city of innovation and creativity, with its presentation featuring the global perspectives and the universally adaptive narration.

Before the launch of the program, local newspaper Chengdu Daily on November 18 rolled out the weekly news edition in English, which reports on the political, economic, cultural and social developments of the city.
