Smoother Train-to-Metro transfer at Hangzhou Railway Station

Starting from late May, passengers arriving at Hangzhou Railway Station can transfer directly to Metro Line 1 or Line 5 via the A2 metro entrance—save them the hassle of going through a second security check, as there is a special transfer corridor now that connects the railway exit directly to the metro station.

That’s not all—on both sides of the stairway at the A2 entrance, two 11-meter-long luggage conveyor belts have been installed. This stairway serves as a key passage between the train and metro systems, however, yet the space constraints make it difficult to install an elevator. These conveyor belts allow travelers carrying large suitcases to free their hands and move with more ease.
Currently, Hangzhou Railway Station is equipped with 20 one-way turnstiles operating 24/7, along with two 1.2-meter-wide accessible lanes for passengers with special needs or carrying large luggage. As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, enjoy a smoother, more convenient journey in Hangzhou!
