It would be a foolish, foolish fellow who accused Homeslice OGs Nat Alexander and Rob Jameson of resting on their award-winning New York pizza laurels.

With the arrival of summer—and the FIFA World Cup, see below—they have added some delicious new dine-in dishes at Shankang Li spot Homeslice Kitchen , perfect to be enjoyed on their shaded terrace.

Iberico Pork Coppa Steak (RMB128) – Peperonata, Capers
Let's start with the Pork Coppa Steak (RMB128) . The Wagyu of pork, Iberico pigs dedicate their legs to the world’s finest ham— Jamon Iberico Bellota .
What we have here is the rest.
The delicious collar steak—known as coppa in Italy—is well marbled with intramuscular fat, making for one of the most delicious cuts of meat.
Deep and nutty in flavor, it is served with a light stew of roasted peppers, or peperonata , and spiked with sharp capers.

Pork & Beef Meatball (RMB48) – Tomato Sauce, Parmesan, Basil
Another fine thing done with swine, the Pork & Beef Meatball (RMB48) is an Italian-American classic gone big like a Lion’s Head.
The original dish at Homeslice Kitchen was four smaller meatballs, but now it's gone XL. Black pork and Wagyu mince, onion, cooked low-and-slow in a rich tomato sauce.
Meant to be shared, but nobody would judge you if you decided to dive in solo.

Pan-Fried Shrimp (RMB98) – Shrimp-Shrimp Sauce, Stelline, Basil Oil
Delicately Pan-Fried Shrimp (RMB98) are served in a rich sauce made with shrimp shells, wine, and aromatics, and tiny star pasta cooked in the same sauce.

Bright drops of green basil oil finish the dish.

Wild Mushroom & Spinach Lasagne (RMB98) – Porcini, Morels, Matsutake
A rich and decadent Wild Mushroom & Spinach Lasagne (RMB98) sees fresh egg pasta, made in-house, layered with bechamel, spinach, and a mix of deeply-flavored mushrooms—porcini, morels and matsutake.

Chicken Parmigiana (RMB68) – Mozzarella, Tomato, Basil
A New York City red sauce joint comfort food classic, the Chicken Parmigiana (RMB68) sees a fried breaded chicken breast topped with that red sauce and melty mozzarella.

Creamy Mac & Cheese (RMB48) – Cheddar, Parmesan
Onto the sides. The Creamy Mac & Cheese (RMB48) channels America’s favorite Kraft Macaroni Cheese from a packet, but done properly—a very creamy sauce made with sharp Irish cheddar, American cheese, and Parmesan.

Roast Asparagus (RMB48) – Lemon Cream, Toasted Almond
Something green— Roast Asparagus (RMB48) stems are drizzled with a lemon cream sauce and accompanied by the crunch of toasted almonds.

Braised Carrots (RMB38) – Honey, Miso, Pistachio
Not the way they make it in the Old Country—Nonna went to the Japanese market today and emphasized the sweetness of the Braised Carrots (RMB38) with an umami honey and miso glaze, finished with pistachio nuts for color and crunch.
It would be remiss to neglect some summer cocktails (RMB58-68) to wash it all down with...

Yuzu Summer ( left ) – Hai Seas Vodka, Pao Yuzu Jasmine, Chili Syrup, Lemon Juice; SKL Jingjiu Negroni ( right ) – Julu Dry Gin, Campari, Chinese Jingjiu, Dolin Rouge, Mez

New York Sour – Four Roses Bourbon, Lemon Juice, Sugar Syrup, Red Wine, Angostura Bitters
Homeslice Kitchen also boasts a wonderful, decently-priced wine list, should vino be your tipple.
