CSFC 2025: Mecha Exhibition, Sci-Fi Market, and Endless Fun!

As a parallel session of ZGC Forum, the China Science Fiction Convention 2025 (CSFC 2025) will take place from March 28 to 31 at Shougang Park in Shijingshan District, Beijing. The event will feature five major sections: an opening ceremony, professional forums, competitions, industry promotion activities, and public activities, totaling over 30 sub-events. The Beijing Science Fiction Carnival 2025 will also be held concurrently.

The opening ceremony on March 28 will utilize XR, naked-eye 3D, and spatial projection technologies to create an immersive blend of virtual and physical worlds. The bipedal bionic robot "Huanhuan" will co-host the ceremony alongside human presenters.
For the first time, the Science Fiction Planet Competition will become part of the China Science Fiction Convention, open to global submissions. The champions will be announced on the evening of March 30. It has been learned that the total prize pool of the competition is CNY 6.65 million, and the champion of each category will receive a maximum of CNY 1 million.
The convention will also include 11 high-quality forums, inviting over 40 renowned international academic figures and hundreds of Chinese sci-fi experts and industry representatives to foster an industrial clustering effect. Signing sessions featuring renowned sci-fi authors like Liu Cixin will also be held during the event.

Fantastic Science Encounters

Numerous technological innovation products will debut, including VR-based immersive experiences, presentations of digital avatars and original copyrighted films brought by generative AI, humanoid robots, and robotic dogs.

Huanju - Multiverse Immersive Sci-Fi Exhibition 
The exhibition offers a journey from the cosmos to the Earth's depths, and from the prehistoric era to a futuristic world... It combines various technologies and appliances including VR, smart wearables, AI, sci-fi props, and mythical creature sculptures, taking the visitors into a surreal adventure.
Time: March 28 to mid-May
Location: Building 3 (Liaocang), Jin'an Science Fiction Plaza
Sci-Fi Mecha Exhibition

The exhibition will present diverse sci-fi robots and mechas, igniting visitors' curiosity and yearning for the wonders of the sci-fi world.
Time: 9:00–18:00, March 28–31
Location: South square of the No.4 Blast Furnace
Sci-Fi Market
This will be dedicated to the original and derivative sci-fi works by university students, aimed at offering creators a platform for communication and presentations of their works.

Beijing Science Fiction Carnival (a year-round event)
or the first time, the 5th Beijing Science Fiction Carnival (2025), a year-round sci-fi-themed event, will be held as part of the convention. The carnival will feature new consumption scenarios for sci-fi culture, including aerospace technology displays, deep space exploration journeys, immersive sci-fi games, anime culture, and mechanical art installations, aimed at creating a "never-ending" sci-fi convention.
