Tax Payment and Exemption in Guangzhou

The Guangzhou Municipal Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation are responsible for the implementation of the laws, regulations, rules and mandatory documents on taxation, social security fees and related non-tax revenues, execution of tax preferential policies stipulated by the State, and the collection and management of taxes, social security fees and related non-tax revenues in the area under its jurisdiction.

Foreigners who set up enterprises in Guangzhou shall go to the tax authorities for taxpayer identity information confirmation or taxpayer (withholding agent) identity information reporting when engaging in production and operation or when tax-related matters occur. Enterprises that have received business license containing unified social credit code can use the business license in the place of tax registration certiffcate, with no need to register for taxation or collect tax registration certiffcate.
