
Wuhan Metro announced that 10 subway lines will extend service hours on April 30 and May 1 to ensure smooth travel.
On April 30 and May 1, Lines 2 and 4 will run one hour longer until midnight. Lines 1,3,5,6,8,11 and the service from Garden Expo North Station to Qinglongshan Ditiexiaozhen Staion of Line 7 will stay open half an hour longer until 11:30 pm, while Line 19 will also extend by half an hour until 11:00 pm.
On May 1, the metro system will open at 6:00 am — half an hour earlier than usual. From May 2 to 5, service starts at 6:30 am. On May 9, regular weekday hours will resume.
Extra backup trains will be added to Lines 2,3 and 6 during large public events to help ease traffic pressure.
