Huitang (literally means grey boiling) International Tourism Resort in Huitang Town, Ningxiang County, Changsha City, Hunan Province, is hometo one of China's Three Great Hot Springs with mineral composites. ltsname originates from the classical verse depicting "Springs boil like arolling pot, and steam rises like grey mist." Historical figures from TangDynasty Chancellor Pei Du to Song Dynasty philosopher Zhu Xi soughtpoetic inspiration in its waters, while Qing statesman Zeng Guofan laterdocumented the spring’s efficacy in treating skin ailments.
