The Hangzhou-Haining Intercity Railway has recently begun expanding west with the initiation of the Wenzheng Street Station greening migration, local media outlets reported.
The project, covering a distance of roughly 1.02 kilometers, originates from the planned Wenzheng Street Railway Station and ends just before reaching the Linpingnan High-Speed Railway Station.
Built underground, the new railway serves as an extension to Wenzheng Street Railway Station extension, seamlessly connecting to Hangzhou Metro Line 18, and is designed to operate with a speed limit of 120 km per hour.
The expansion represents a significant milestone in the enhancement of the region's railroad infrastructure, encompassing local lines, expressways, and the Linpingnan High-Speed Railway Station.
Anticipated benefits include improved accessibility and reduced travel time between Haining and Hangzhou, further integrating transportation routes within the Hangzhou metropolitan area.
