Chengdu Adds Four New National AAA-Rated Tourist Attractions

According to a recent announcement of Chengdu Tourism Standards Evaluation Committee, Pengzhou City’s Haiwozi Scenic Area, Shuangliu District’s Yong’an Lake Scenic Area, Shuangliu District’s Qushang Tianyuan Scenic Area, and Longquanyi District’s Chengdu Fangda Carbon Industrial Tourism Scenic Area are recognized as national AAA-rated tourist attractions.

Haiwozi Scenic Area

Located in Pengzhou City, Haiwozi—historically known as Qushang—is the cradle of the ancient Shu Kingdom and shares the same cultural origins as Sanxingdui Site and Jinsha Site. The main street of the ancient town stretches approximately 1,500 meters, with buildings prominently featuring the architectural style of western Sichuan residences from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Transportation Guide

Visitors may take a high-speed train from Chengdu Xipu Railway Station to Pengzhou Railway Station, make a transfer at Pengzhou Railway Station to Bailu Tourist Direct Bus heading straight for a stop near Haiwozi Ancient Town, and walk to the destination.

Yong’an Lake Scenic Area

Located in the core area of Chengdu Tianfu International Bio-Town in Shuangliu District, the scenic area covers an area of 832.88 mu. With Yong’an Lake’s unique lake-wetland ecosystem and surrounding green landscapes, it offers a modern urban tourist destination that combines ecological leisure activities, cultural immersion, scientific knowledge sharing, and wellness tourism.

Transportation Guide

Visitors may take Metro Line 5 or Line 6 to Huilong Station and exit from Exit C or Exit H1. From Huilong Station, a taxi ride of approximately 10 minutes will take visitors to the entrance of the scenic area.

Qushang Tianyuan Scenic Area

Located in Guihua Village, Huangshui Township, Shuangliu District, the scenic area is a comprehensive leisure resort that serves as an ecological leisure destination showcasing Tianfu’s idyllic landscapes, a study tour base dedicated to the ancient Shu farming culture, and a demonstration base for the development of modern landscape farming.

Currently, the area is divided into two major zones: Phase I is a cultural and educational research zone revolving around Guangdu Museum, while Phase II is an integrated agritourism zone.

Transportation Guide

Visitors may take Metro Line 10 or Line 3 to Shuangliu West Railway Station and head to Guangdu Museum by bus (Mumachuan Tourist Direct Route) or taxi.

Scenic Area

The scenic area in Longquanyi District is constructed based on the site of Chengdu Fangda Carbon Material Co., Ltd. Built around the core concept of “exploring carbon materials and discovering industrial innovation”, it is a distinctive industry-themed tourist attraction that integrates technology display with real industrial settings.

Transportation Guide

To reach the scenic area, visitors may take Metro Line 2 to Chengdu Academy of Governance Station, exit from Exit A, and take Bus 856 from Chengdu Academy of Governance Metro Station Stop to Chengdu Carbon Factory Stop.
