Independent Label Halo!! Debut Show

Introducing Halo!!, a fresh independent label born this spring, dedicated to raw textures, vibrant energy and the visceral heartbeat of music.

Named after the light flare on film and the crackle in vinyl grooves, Halo!! celebrates imperfection, distortion and everything that makes sound feel alive.
For its debut showcase, Halo!! unites three acts that embody its spirit.
Headlining the night is Solitude Is Bliss, the trailblazing indie rock band from Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Known for their sharp social commentary, expansive soundscapes and emotionally charged performances, they've become a voice for Southeast Asia's youth – fierce, intelligent and uncompromising.

'Clash of Titans'

The Pearl will transform into a rock cathedral this month for the "Clash of Titans: Bon Jovi vs Guns N' Roses Tribute Show" – a sonic showdown of legendary proportions, performed live by The Red Stars.

This isn't just a tribute; it's a high-octane, scream-along, adrenaline-pumping celebration of two of the greatest rock bands in history.

'Steel Archives Vol. 2: ST4'

Get ready for a night of pure mecha music power as "Steel Archives Vol. 2: ST4" arrives at THE BOXX on May 10.

Christie's Hong Kong Auction Preview

A preview of Christie's Hong Kong's "Magnificent Jewels" auction, plus a number of luxury watches, will be on display at Christie's Shanghai Art Space on May 10 and 11.

The live auction will be held on May 27 at The Henderson in Hong Kong.
The sale features over 100 rare jewelry items, including the prestigious "The Regent Kashmir," a 35.09-carat royal blue sapphire ring from Kashmir from a private collection, and "The Regal Ruby," a 13.22-carat unheated Burmese ruby, which is expected to become the highest-priced and largest Burmese ruby sold at Christie's Hong Kong in nearly a decade.

'Beethoven: The Hero, The Man'

"Beethoven: The Hero, The Man" is on show at Mu Xin Art Museum through this August.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Wien Museum, Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin and Ernst Barlach Foundation.
Over 50 items on loan from these institutions vary from sculptures, prints, a death mask of Beethoven, to a series of thematic prints on "Ode to Joy" from Beethoven's "Symphony No. 9."
Visitors will also find engraved prints, illustrations and historical photographs depicting scenes related to Beethoven's life and legacy.

'Reinventing Landscape'

The West Bund Museum x Centre Pompidou project "Reinventing Landscape: Highlights of the Centre Pompidou Collection Vol. IV" opened at the West Bund Museum this week, lifting the curtain on another five-year collaboration between the two art institutions of Shanghai and Paris, respectively.

This semi-permanent exhibition turns the spotlight on Western landscape art and its profound transformation through the 20th and 21st centuries. Offering a fresh modernist interpretation, it not only traces the artistic evolution of the "landscape" motif since 1906, but also examines its enduring connection to human society. Highlights include iconic works from Cubism (Georges Braque), Fauvism (André Derain), Surrealism (André Masson), and Abstract Art (Zao Wou-Ki).
