Suzhou optimizes issuance of visa invitation letter

Suzhou has optimized the approval and issuance process of the visa invitation letter, according to the Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal People's Government. There are three bodies in the city responsible for issuing visa invitation letters: Suzhou Foreign Affairs Office, Kunshan Municipal People's Government, and Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee.

Application Process at Suzhou Foreign Affairs Office
1. The inviting unit logs into "Suzhou Information System for Inviting Foreigners to China" (http://wsb.suzhou.gov.cn/lhyq) and completes online registration.
2. Upon approval, the inviting unit fills out the application form for inviting foreigners to China, signs names and affixes seals, and uploads a scanned color copy.
3. The foreign affairs office of the place where the inviting unit is registered conducts preliminary examination.
4. Once passing the preliminary examination, the application will be verified by Suzhou Foreign Affairs Office.
5. Upon approval, Suzhou Foreign Affairs Office will notify the inviting unit on the system and via SMS.
