The year of 2023 marks his 10th year of settling in Hangzhou High-tech (Binjiang). Though a decade may seem long, for someone who has already integrated into the local community, it has been a fulfilling and joyful journey. With various identities such as a student at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, a martial arts enthusiast and a volunteer, Massimo’s life is filled with different possibilities.
As a doctoral student at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, apart from his daily research work at the university, Massimo regularly conducts consultations at the university clinic. Specializing in cervical spondylosis research, he now has regular patients and can apply suitable treatments such as acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping based on different conditions.
Besides work and study, Massimo also practices Tai Chi with his wife in nearby parks. The essence of Tai Chi lies in “using softness to overcome hardness”. The slow yet powerful movements not only improve physical fitness but also help Massimo and his wife stay true to themselves and engage in thoughtful contemplation in this hectic society. Additionally, Massimo conducts Tai Chi free classes specifically designed for children. He said, “In the past, I learned from masters, but now I have the opportunity to pass on traditional Chinese culture to children. It brings great joy.”
