Meanwhile, petrochemical, steel, metallurgy, and food industries all contribute to the city's economic growth. Genoa is the largest shipbuilder in Italy, producing over two thirds of all ships around the country. Genoa also has machinery, railway equipment, textiles and oil refining industries.
