Concepción

CHILE

Concepción is the capital of the Bio-bio Region and the second largest city of Chile. It is located in the  south-central Chile and 450 kilometers away from Santiago, the capital of Chile. Concepción is abundant in agricultural products and water resources. Concepción has a significant impact on domestic trade  and business, with its coal production accounting for 90% of the total output in Chile and being the trade center of wine and grain.
In April 2016, during his visit to Nanjing, Chairman of Bio-bio Region expressed his belief of broad prospects for cooperation between Nanjing and Chile, and suggested sister-city relationship between Nanjing and Concepción. In May 2018, the two cities established  sister-city relationship.
