Da Vinci's Authentic Manuscripts Made Debut at This Museum

On June 5, the exhibition "Harmony Through Time and Space: How Leonardo da Vinci Created Concord between His Artistic and Scientific World and the Natural World" kicked off at theNatural History Museum of China. It became accessible to the public from June 6 onward.

The exhibition features approximately 
190 exhibits encompassing an authentic work of Leonardo da Vinci and exhibits of restorations from his manuscript designs, guiding visitors to learn more about this multifaceted genius.

In the exhibition hall, "Monstrous Face" is housed exclusively in a display case, which is the sole authentic work among all exhibits. This sketch fragment was created between 1490 and 1510.

Also, the portrait of "Leonardo da Vinci As a Young Man", reconstructed based on his unfinished work "Adoration of the Magi" and from the sculpture "David" reportedly modeled after da Vinci, would allow visitors to have a look at the artist's appearance in his youth.
At the exhibition, visitors can also see digitally reconstructed replicas of masterpieces such as "Mona Lisa" and "The Last Supper", alongside multiple physical objects recreated from da Vinci's manuscripts.

For this special exhibition, the Natural History Museum of China has selected approximately 70 exquisitely preserved specimens spanning animals and plants (including paleontological ones), as well as rocks and minerals, each inextricably connected to Leonardo da Vinci.
This special exhibition charges a general admission fee of CNY 79 per visit and will run through October 19.
