Expats beyond Tongzilin—A Professor from Italy

Three years ago, Fabrizio Caputo, a professor at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Cuneo in Italy, was dispatched to teach at the first Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run higher vocational education institution in Sichuan and Chongqing—College di Arte Design di Cuneo in Xinjin District, Chengdu.

In Chengdu, the Italian has fallen in love with hot pot, Sichuan skewers, and Tian Shui Mian (sweet & spicy wheat noodles). To him, Chengdu is a city between classic traditional and modern. The pace of life and the human touch here make him feel at ease. Here, he is living more and more like a Chengdu local.
