Shenyang-Beijing rail travel time to be cut

Starting at 00:00 on July 1, the China Railway Shenyang Bureau will implement a new train operation diagram. Following the adjustment, the number of scheduled passenger trains will increase to 907, representing an increase of 22 compared to the current diagram, and 2,530 scheduled freight trains will be included. This update is expected to further enhance the railway's capacity for both passenger and freight transportation, improve service quality, and optimize operational efficiency.
The Beijing-Shenyang section of the Beijing-Harbin High-Speed Railway (abbreviated as Beijing-Shenyang HSR) will soon complete comprehensive testing and confirmation acceptance work of safety standard demonstration line and is scheduled to officially commence operations on July 1. This will also be the first safety standard demonstration line in Northeast China.
Upon the completion of the Beijing-Shenyang HSR as a safety standard demonstration line, the Fuxing bullet trains can operate at a regular speed of 350 kilometers per hour between Shenyang and Beijing. The fastest travel time between the two cities will be 2 hours and 29 minutes.

Following the adjustment, the China Railway Shenyang Bureau will introduce the latest CR400BF-GS Fuxing bullet trains. The overall layout of the carriage of this model has been optimized and improved, and the standard train capacity has increased from 578 to 619 passengers.
A total of 56 high-quality benchmark trains with a higher speed of 350 kilometers per hour, fewer stops and shorter travel time will be operated on the Beijing-Shenyang HSR, an increase of 24 compared with the previous diagram. 4 Fuxing bullet trains running between Shenyang Railway Station and Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station will offer quiet carriages.
