Northern Section of Line 17
The northern section of Line 17 (Workers' Stadium - Future Science City North) is scheduled to open at the end of December, covering a distance of 24.9 kilometers and serving a total of 10 stations. Among them, the opening of Wangjing West Station will be temporarily suspended. According to estimates, during the morning rush hours, residents in Tiantongyuan area who need to transfer to Line 10 can expect to save approximately 10 minutes by choosing Line 17 over the parallel northern section of Line 5.
The Remaining Section of Line 16
The remaining section of Subway Line 16 and Suzhoujie Station are on the verge of opening too. This remaining section extends two stations further west from the existing Line 16, including Hongtaizhuang Station and Wanpingcheng Station. Once operational, Suzhoujie Station on Line 16 will offer connections to Line 10, enhancing the appeal of Line 16 to passengers. With the opening of this remaining section and Suzhoujie Station, Subway Line 16 will be fully connected, spanning a total operating distance of 48.9 kilometers and providing transfer options to Line 4, Line 6, Line 7, Line 9, Line 10, and the Fangshan Line.
The Remaining Western Section of Line 11
The Moshikou Station on Subway Line 11 is also set to open soon. Line 11 (Xinshougang - Jin'anqiao) commenced operations at the end of 2021, and by the end of 2023, the Jin'anqiao - Moshikou section will be operational, adding 1.4 kilometers to the total operating distance and introducing in the new Moshikou Station. Following this opening, Line 11 will cover a total operating distance of 3.9 kilometers.
