Our Band

This exhibition focuses on the vibrant music and dance culture of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, using the concept of a ‘band’ as its narrative thread. Nearly 200 artifacts are showcased across five sections—Overture, Prelude, Background Sound, Symphony, and Finale—reconstructing the rich, diverse history of 10th-century performing arts. Highlights include immersive recreations of musical ensembles from ancient tombs, illustrating the fusion and cultural dialogue of court and folk traditions across regions during times of upheaval. The exhibition reveals a dynamic world where art and history intertwine in captivating harmony.
