Third-Generation Jiangyin Citizen Card Can Now Be Used for Bus Rides in Yixing

To further advance the urban public transportation priority development strategy and enhance the convenience and experience of citizens using public transit, the third-generation Jiangyin Citizen Card can now be used not only in Jiangyin and Wuxi urban area but also for bus rides in Yixing!

I. Card Usage Instructions
After obtaining the "Third-Generation Jiangyin Citizen Card" (issued from January 15, 2024 onward), cardholders can use it to take buses, subways, and urban rail transit in Jiangyin and Wuxi urban area. It can now also be used to take buses in Yixing (separate notice will be given on how to use the card for rail transit in Yixing after it becomes operational). This card can be loaded with discounted fare privileges for eligible service recipients such as the elderly, students, people with disabilities, and those entitled to the "Three Exemptions" policy applicable in Jiangyin, Wuxi urban area, and Yixing.
Elderly and student service recipients can enjoy fare discounts on Jiangyin regular buses and Wuxi metro and rail transit after activating the corresponding functions. To enjoy transportation discounts in Wuxi urban area and Yixing, they must bring their original valid personal ID, the third-generation Jiangyin Citizen Card, and relevant identity proof to the local location to activate the relevant functions.
Recipients entitled to free rides (people with disabilities, those eligible for the "Three Exemptions" policy, seniors aged 70 and above, etc.) need to bring their original valid personal ID, the third-generation Jiangyin Citizen Card, and relevant identity proof to a Jiangyin Citizen Card service center. After a one-time function activation, they can ride for free in Wuxi urban area, Jiangyin, and Yixing.
The discounted and free ride policies and usage rules for Wuxi urban area and Yixing shall be subject to official local announcements.

Citizens who meet the eligibility requirements for the Jiangyin Citizen Card can apply for the third-generation card online and have it delivered by mail. The online application process is as follows:
