The First Hospital of Qinhuangdao City

The First Hospital of Qinhuangdao City is located in the beautiful coastal city center of Qinhuangdao, known as the Summer Capital. The hospital was founded in 1948 and is a large-scale comprehensive tertiary Grade A hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation. It is a reserve base hospital for summer medical support at the city level and the only city level hospital that has supported the Olympic and Asian Games. The hospital has been designated as one of the first national demonstration bases for standardized training of general practitioners, a national drug clinical trial institution, and a stem cell clinical research institution. It is a non directly affiliated hospital of Hebei Medical University, a teaching hospital of Hebei North University and Chengde Medical College, and a postdoctoral innovation practice base in Hebei Province.

The hospital has now developed into one hospital and four districts, covering an area of 155 acres with a building area of approximately 180000 square meters. The entire hospital has 3208 employees, including 938 doctoral and master's students, 725 senior professional titles, 5 doctoral supervisors, and 182 master's supervisors. The hospital has 64 clinical 127 medical technology departments, including 2 B-level (advanced) provincial key medical disciplines (endocrinology and oncology) and 1 C-level (development) discipline (critical care medicine). There are 2 national clinical key specialty creation units [General Surgery (including Gastrointestinal Surgery) and Cardiovascular Surgery], and 8 clinical key specialties in Hebei Province (Intensive Care Medicine, Oncology Surgery, Endocrinology, Oncology, Dermatology, Nephrology, Pediatrics, and Plastic Surgery). In recent years, the hospital has won 23 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards, over 400 municipal and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards, over 1000 core journal articles in the past 5 years, and over 230 SCI articles, with a highest impact factor of 8.44.
