Rizhao Raises Salary Standard for Foreigners’ Work Permit

On Aug 5, the Science and Technology Bureau of Rizhao City, Shandong Province, released the salary income calculation standards for 2024 foreigners applying for work permits in Rizhao.
The average salary of employed personnel in urban units across the province in 2023 is 88313 yuan. From the date of issuance of this notice, the calculation standard for foreign work permit income in Rizhao City has been adjusted as follows: 88313 yuan/year and 7359 yuan/month.
When foreigners apply for work permits in China on the basis of wage income, the foreign talents whose average wage income is not less than 6 times the average social wage income of the region in the previous year meet the recognition criteria for foreign high-end talents (Category A); the foreign talents whose average wage income is not less than 4 times the average social wage income of the region in the previous year meet the criteria for recognition as foreign professional talents (Category B). Therefore, the A and B standards in Rizhao City are as follows:
