Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Qinhuangdao

Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Qinhuangdao was founded in 1953 and is the only tertiary Grade A Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Qinhuangdao. It is responsible for guiding, supervising, and inspecting the medical care, family planning, and grassroots maternal and child health services for women and children in the city. The hospital covers an area of 45 acres, with a total construction area of 68000 square meters, 600 open beds, and currently has 1164 employees. The annual outpatient volume of the hospital reaches 1 million, with 35000 discharged patients, 9325 surgeries per year, and 11000 babies delivered.

Gynecology is a key clinical specialty in the province. Obstetrics is a unit of the "New Model Demonstration Project for Obstetrics Management Services in the United States". The province has taken the lead in establishing and implementing LDRP family delivery room services, forming a modern obstetrics management model that integrates waiting for delivery, delivery, and postpartum rest and recuperation. We have established the only public 132 postpartum center in the city, providing extended care services for pregnant and postpartum women throughout the entire cycle. The Reproductive Medicine Department has completed 5896 cycles of in vitro fertilization (IVF), delivering 4125 IVF babies, benefiting thousands of Hong Kong families. The third-generation IVF technology is about to be launched. The neonatology department has a 17 million square meter laminar flow purification NICU and has successfully treated 580g of Thumbelina, which was reported by CCTV. The first public welfare breast milk bank invested and constructed in Hebei Province has greatly improved the quality of life of premature and critically ill newborns. Over the past four years, 434 caring mothers have donated 2.963 million milliliters of breast milk, and 1276 sick children have received life-saving golden milk. Maternal and child health "Traditional Chinese Medicine+" has successfully assisted the recovery of critically ill positive children through traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods. Gynecology, obstetrics, reproductive medicine, ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, pelvic floor rehabilitation, pediatrics, neonatology, pediatric health, and breast medicine are all key disciplines and key development disciplines at the municipal level.

From 2016 to 2020, we successfully hosted a comprehensive hospital with the second highest service capacity in the city. The hospital was the first in the province to pass the review of a tertiary Grade A maternal and child health hospital, and for three consecutive years, it ranked first in the province's performance evaluation of maternal and child health institutions. In 2021, it ranked 13th in the national performance evaluation of tertiary maternal and child health hospitals, with an assessment level of A++. Received more than 90 honorary titles, including the first batch of national "demonstration bases for early childhood 133 development", "first batch of national specialized construction units for neonatal health", "advanced collective for maternal and child health services", and "national civilized unit".
