Xiamen’s urban modern agriculture comprises planting, animal husbandry, agricultural and sideline products, food processing, rural tourism, and ecological leisure agriculture. The city’s seed and seedling industry has developed rapidly, resulting in four major brands relating to vegetables, fruits, flowers and prawns. Rural tourism has boomed. Twelve villages in the city have been awarded the title of “Beautiful Leisure Village of China”. Representative enterprises include Yinlu Food, Anjoy Food, Mingsui Grain & Oil, Yinxiang Group, Ruyiqing Group, China Green, Fuhuida Fruits & Vegetables, Haijia Flour, China Tea Xiamen, Empereur Tea, and Paili Holdings.
Development Priorities

• Seed and seedlings. Vegetables, fruits, flowers, and aquatic products.
• Planting and breeding. Primarily production of main agricultural products.
• Processing of agricultural products. including manufacturing of canned beverages and processing of grain, edible oil, meat products, aquatic products, fruits, vegetables, and feeds.
• Logistics and services relating to agricultural products. Wholesale markets, sales terminals, cold chain logistics, and agricultural conventions and exhibitions.
• Leisure agriculture and rural tourism. Sightseeing and leisure agriculture, and rural tourism.
