Voyage to the Deep — Deep-Sea Archaeological Discoveries in the Northwest Continental Slope of the South China Sea

Through 377 artifacts, underwater footage, and archaeological narratives, this exhibition offers a multidimensional presentation of discoveries from No. 1 and No. 2 shipwrecks on the northwestern continental slope of the South China Sea. It highlights the cultural exchanges along the Maritime Silk Road during the Ming Dynasty, particularly the production and export of ceramics and their role in the spread of Chinese culture. The exhibition also showcases China's breakthroughs and technological achievements in deep-sea archaeology. Innovative display methods, including projection and MR (mixed reality) technologies, invite visitors to join archaeological explorers and decode a civilization that lay dormant beneath the sea for five centuries.
