Beautiful rivers and mountains - Grassland and heaven road

Grassland and heaven road is located at the junction of Zhangbei County and Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City. It starts from daqingshan (national forest park) in the south of Shangyi County in the west and reaches huapi mountain in Chongli County in the east. It is an important passage connecting Chongli ski area, Chi City hot spring area, Zhangbei grassland scenic area, Bailongdong scenic area and Daqingshan scenic area. It is also one of the ten most beautiful highways in China.

The average annual temperature in the grassland and heaven road scenic area is only 4 degrees centigrade;annual average temperature in July is 15 degrees centigrade. Summer is the best season, and there are more than three hundred kinds of wild plants in the area along, including many wild flowers and mushrooms. The high and steep mountains, deep ravines, beatiful landscape, looks like a picture scroll.
