【Established Date】Tianjin and Egypt's Port Said Governorate formally signed a letter of intent for friendly exchanges and cooperation on December 21, 1991.
【City Characteristics】 Port Said is located in the northeast of Egypt. It is the second largest port in Egypt and one of the largest transshipment ports in the world. Port Said is located at the intersection of Suez Canal and Mediterranean Sea, where Asia and Africa are bounded by Suez Canal, and Port Fuad, another part of the governorate on the side of Asia. Therefore, Port Said can also be called a port governorate straddling two continents.
