From ancient book restoration to embodied intelligence: foreign journalists experience a unique hands-on class

On October 19, participants in the 2026 Global South Journalists Training Workshop conducted specialized study and practical sessions at Nanjing University. That day, they visited the university library to experience ancient book restoration, went to the Litchi Smart Media Center to tour the Jiangsu Broadcasting & Television x Huawei Digital Intelligence Innovation Global Model Site, and observed interactive demonstrations of embodied intelligence (robots) and experienced Kunqu opera in VR at the Digital Intelligence Innovation Laboratory for Chinese Civilization at Nanjing University. In the evening, participants held group discussions on "opportunities and challenges in the transformation of journalists' professional roles in the digital and intelligent era."
