National Bureau of Statistics set to launch population sample survey

The National Bureau of Statistics will begin door-to-door registration on November 1 for its sample survey of one percent of China's population. The survey will focus on basic demographic and household information such as name, gender, age, ethnicity, education level, occupation and housing conditions. In Xiamen, the survey is expected to cover approximately 21,000 households and 57,000 residents.
