Suzhou

Pick a color that speaks to you, and let it guide you as you take a leisurely stroll through the streets and alleyways. Let's go on a Color Walk, a way of letting go of your thoughts and worries, and rediscover the beauty of Suzhou!

Burnt Sienna
Former Site of Suzhou Customs Tax Department

Along the ancient moat of Suzhou stand several red-brick buildings with pointed roofs, blending Chinese and Western architectural styles. Once the hub of taxation affairs in the Jiangnan region, these structures bear witness to Suzhou's modern trade history.

Boundless Matro Boutique Village

It is a hub integrating shopping, hotels, dining, and more, where avant-garde designs breathe new life into the historic red-brick interiors. It curates luxury goods from global designers across 2,000-plus brands and over 100,000 products, offering a world of refined tastes under one roof.

UMAH Coffee

This red-brick building once served as the classrooms of Wujiang High School and later as the workshop of Wujiang Printing Factory. Its clean-lined red bricks and distinctive architectural style are well preserved. Step inside to savor a cup of coffee at the ground-floor UMAH Coffee, letting moments settle gently in its aromatic embrace. Ascend the stairs to the second floor, where art books and photography exhibitions await, blending history with contemporary creativity.

Yellow
Former Site of the CCP Suzhou Independent Branch

Once the campus of Suzhou Leyi Girls' School, this cream-colored Republican-era building was also the former site of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Suzhou Independent Branch. Its vintage classrooms and the century-old cedar tree in the courtyard silently narrate the history of this heritage mansion.

Jincheng New Village

A historic cluster of Republican-era architecture, Jincheng New Village was completed in 1934 by the Jincheng Bank, featuring over 10 two-story Bauhaus-style villas with brick-and-wood structures. Today, it thrives as a vibrant mixed-use quarter where art exhibitions, sports bazaars, live music performances, and cafés converge, making it a beloved hub for the city's youth.

Dongshengli Cultural Art Corridor

This vibrant graffiti art corridor links three alleys, where playful and romantic graffiti works breathe new life into the centuries-old lanes of Gusu District, turning this hidden gem into a magnet for young people.

Green
Changmen City Wall

As one of the eight ancient gates of Suzhou, the Changmen City Wall stands majestically with its blue-brick structure and is now draped in lush ivy, becoming a unique green scene in the city.

Suzhou Library

The third-floor lecture hall in the Southern Wing of Suzhou Library has replaced its monotonous white walls with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Unobstructed by any external structures, the view frames only two century-old camphor trees with sprawling branches against a backdrop of greenery and sky.

Dongyuan Park

It is a free urban park. Strolling along its winding paths, you can see the camphor trees and the exquisite garden structures among the lush greenery.

Blue
Gate of the Orient

As one of Suzhou's iconic landmarks, the Gate of the Orient blends traditional motifs with modern architecture through sleek geometric curves, carrying forward the history and culture of Suzhou. Its glass facade mirrors hues of the blue sky and the lake.
