Light shows have become one of Shenzhen's most iconic attractions. Currently, light shows in Shenzhen are mainly staged in Futian Central Business District, Shenzhen Talent Park, Qianhai, Shekou Free Trade Zone, etc. In addition to themed light shows, Shenzhen also broadcasts public service advertisements in coordination with the China Hi-Tech Fair, the World Food and Agricultural Expo (Shenzhen), and the China Marine Economy Expo. It also assists in promoting activities carried out in the tourism and consumption season and the Shenzhen Fashion Week.
Shenzhen will light up the night for the 15th National Games with a specially designed sports-themed light show, using dynamic visuals to bring to life the passion of the Games and the energetic spirit of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Based on the existing lighting on buildings, Shenzhen has focused on enhancing the quality of the nighttime scenery around Shenzhen Bay and Qianhai Bay, which is expected to be completed by the end of September 2025, with debugging starting in October 2025.
In addition, Shenzhen will also advance the 6th Glow Shenzhen light festival to coincide with the Games. Based on the original main venue of the previous festival in Futian Central Business District, the Houhai area (Shenzhen Bay Avenue) in Nanshan District, and the Happy Theater in Bao'an District will be added as main venues.
