Europe and Africa - South Bohemian Region, Czech Republic

【Established Date】On August 28, 2014, Tianjin and South Bohemian Region formally signed a letter of intent for friendly exchanges and cooperation.
【City Characteristics】South Bohemian Region is located in the south of the Czech Re- public, and its capital is Budejovice. The region is surrounded by mountains with the Central-Bohemian Highlands in the north, the Sumawa Mountains in the southwest, the Novohradske Mountains in the south, and a basin in the middle. Covered by vast forests, the region lacks mineral resources. Hydropower stations are built on the Vltava river that flows through. Its industry and agriculture are relatively developed, with forest harvesting, wood processing, pulp and paper making as the main traditional industrial sectors. There are developed machine manufacturing industries, producing motorcycles, machine tools and precision machine tools, telecommunication equipment, sewing machines, etc., as well as light industry, textiles, food and other industries.
