On the morning of the 7th, the "Jiangyin Travel" brand promotion and inaugural inbound tourist shuttle bus ceremony was officially launched at the Chengxi Border Inspection Station Police Office, marking the successful launch and official operation of the Jiangyin Port Area inbound tourist shuttle bus. On that day, over 50 foreign nationals from 13 countries including Greece, the Philippines, Norway, Russia, etc., boarded the inaugural shuttle bus one after another, embarking on an immersive cultural and tourism exploration tour in Jiangyin. As foreign crew members come ashore to check in at "Chengjiang Blessed Land," Jiangyin Port is gradually transforming more crew "traffic" into consumption "increment" for local development.
It is understood that the newly launched "Jiangyin Travel" inbound tourist shuttle bus has a total of 4 routes, covering Jiangyin's key cultural and tourism resources such as Hailang Flyover Horse City, Changjing Ancient Street, Zhongyi Street, as well as surrounding core cultural tourism projects like Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle) and Nianhua Bay. Hu Haijing, Captain of the Second Squadron of the Jiangyin Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station, introduced that the port shuttle bus will adopt a method of "monthly fixed departures + instant additional departures," continuously improving the tour routes based on the needs and feedback of foreign nationals at Jiangyin Port.
Last year, the Jiangyin Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station provided proactive and attentive services, promoting the launch of Jiangsu Province's first port foreign currency self-service exchange machine in Jiangyin, and taking the lead in the province to introduce an experience activity to "facilitate foreign crew members' consumption while ashore at the port." Data shows that in 2025, foreign crew members came ashore 33,675 times, with an average of 92 times per day, and 1,311 person-times participated in group immersive "Jiangyin Travel" experiences. The types of foreign currencies exchangeable at the port include US dollars, Hong Kong dollars, euros, Japanese yen, etc., with an average daily foreign currency exchange of 1,500 RMB, and a maximum single exchange of 5,000 RMB.
