The dance drama "The Eternal Wave‌" is based on Li Bai, one of the "100 Heroic Models Who Made Outstanding Contributions to the Founding of the People's Republic of China". It takes the true story of martyr Li Bai as its material and boldly creates original works on the basis of respecting history. It incorporates elements such as youthful colors, red memories, romantic sentiments, and the atmosphere of spy warfare. Through the unique expression form of the dance drama, The urban features of old Shanghai, such as Shikumen, alleys, roads, newspapers and cheongsam tailor shops, are presented in meticulous detail on the stage.
