Festival Ensemble of Vienna New Year’s Concert

The predecessor of the Festival Ensemble of Vienna was the Orchestra of the Friends of Music in Carnuntum. The founder of the ensemble is renowned clarinetist and former winner of the Austrian Federal Band Association’s Golden Clarinet Award, Mr. Leo Wittner, who has served as the permanent conductor since 2014.

Since 2017, the ensemble has been invited to tour China continuously. Its repertoire blending European classics and Austrian folk music, along with its elegant and poised performance style, has won praise and affection from Chinese audiences.

The concert includes pieces like Johann Strauss II's Die Fledermaus (The Bat): Overture, A. Dvorak: Song to the Moon，Chinese Folk Song: Jasmine Flower, Spring Festival Overtur, J. Strauss II:On the Beautiful Blue DanubeOp. 314,etc.
