Beijing will have another subway express line. The construction of the northern section of Line R4 (Phase I) recently began.

The section will span 20.78 kilometers, running from Dongba in Chaoyang District in the south to Yanjing Qiao in Shunyi District in the north, connecting Chaoyang, Tongzhou, and Shunyi districts. The line will have five stations from south to north: Guanzhuang Lu Xikou, 3 Hao Hangzhanlou (Terminal 3), Zhongde Chanyeyuan (China-Germany Industrial Park), Linhe, and Yanjing Qiao. Among these, Guanzhuang Lu Xikou Station will be connected with Line 3 in the future, while 3 Hao Hangzhanlou (Terminal 3) Station will allow transfer to the Capital Airport Express.
