✦✦The 2026 Perseid meteor shower will offer one of the best viewing conditions in recent years. The peak coincides with a new moon, meaning the moon will not interfere with observations. With exceptionally dark skies, even faint meteors that are usually hidden by moonlight can be seen clearly, creating an excellent experience for naked-eye viewing.

Evening Experience:
Drive to the highest peak of Daming Mountain and wait for the meteor shower beneath the open sky. With clear air, relatively low visitor numbers, and fewer artificial lights, Qianniugang provides excellent conditions for meteor watching. Choosing a quieter viewpoint away from the main viewing platforms can further reduce light interference.

At an altitude of 1,557 meters, Taizi Peak delivers a breathtaking mountain-top stargazing experience. As night falls, you can sit beneath the stars with friends and await the arrival of the Perseid meteors shower. It is recommended to arrive between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, allowing enough time to enjoy the complete mountain experience: sunset, starry sky, and sunrise the next morning.

Tips:
1. Drive carefully on mountain roads at night. Travel with companions whenever possible. Be cautious when hiking and download offline maps in advance for remote locations.
2. Check cloud cover and weather alerts before departure. Late-night or early-morning viewing is recommended. If cloudy weather affects the peak, the meteor shower can still be observed during the active period.
3. Mountain temperatures drop significantly at night. Bring warm clothing, a moisture-proof mat, mosquito repellent, a power bank, and use a red-light flashlight mode to protect night vision.
4. Practice responsible camping: Take all rubbish with you, avoid loud conversations at night. Do not use strong lights that disturb others, and protect mountain vegetation.
