From September 10 to 14, during the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) at Shougang Park, there will be a special exhibition and a series of sub-events themed "Discover the Charm of Beijing Gifts". The "Beijing Gifts" exhibition area in Hall 11 is just 200 meters north of the Southwest Registration Hall of Shougang Park, where a veritable feast of creative cultural products awaits your visit in a setting reminding you of Beijing's hutongs!
Dazzling Brands: Beijing-Style Creativity with Beauty and Fashion
The exhibition will bring together a wide variety of brands and enterprises under the "Beijing Gifts" label, covering fields such as creative cultural items and cosmetic products. Highlights include enamel mugs, fridge magnets portraying Beijing's sights, and the latest "Beijing's Hutong Story" (北京胡同故事) stamp collection books from Jingwei Shidai (京味时代). You can also find the iconic Tu'er Ye (Rabbit God figurines) from Jitufang (吉兔坊), exquisite silk dolls from Tangrenfang (唐人坊), a series of mystery box collectibles from a trendy cultural toy brand of QSG (量子之歌), and Peking Opera-themed gifts from Jixiang Grand Theater. The beloved "She Dwen Dwen" merchandise and numerous dazzling offerings from the Beijing branch of China Post will also be there.
A 200 -Square-Meter Scenario-Based Space: Walk ing Through a H utong in Be ijing
For the first time, the exhibition area will be 200 square meters large, highlighting the development of the brands of "Beijing Gifts" and adopting an immersive, scenario-based display format that presents both the products and the authentic charm of the city. You can see the gate of a traditional siheyuan (Notes: The term "siheyuan" refers to a type of traditional Chinese courtyard residences, which can be found in the local hutongs in Beijing) together with a small archway, recreating the atmosphere of Beijing in its old days and the unique image of a hutong.
Inside, visitors will find sections dedicated to the Beijing Fine Art Academy and Yidege (一得阁; an ink manufacturer), as well as a section for Beijing-style cosmetics and jewelry. Also, the exhibition area reproduces the distinctive storefront façades of Beijing's historic cultural and commercial streets, showcasing the diverse styles of "Beijing Gifts".
Tech Meets Experience: Five Days of Nonstop Fun
During the event, the "Beijing Gifts" exhibition area will also feature new product launches, tech experiences, and four themed days for brands. For example, Jihua Shouwen (际华首文) will present its AI photo booth, allowing visitors to insert their own images directly into fancy paintings of traditional hutongs. The Intangible Cultural Heritage and China-Chic Experience Day (非遗国潮体验日), highlighted by brands such as Tangrenfang and Jitufang, will feature live performances inspired by the local intangible cultural heritage, along with a stamp-collecting campaign featuring China-chic elements and sightseeing (allowing everyone to collect all the stamps to redeem gifts). These offerings will give participants a vivid picture of intangible cultural heritage.
At the "Beijing Gifts" exhibition area, ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) will offer discounts for consumers who have spent certain amounts of money there, while the staff of the Bank of China will provide on-site tax refund services for outbound overseas visitors.
