Special Free-Roam VR Walking Experience Unveiled at Drum Tower

From August 16 to November 17, 2024, the special free-roam VR walking experience "Night at the Central Axis" is available at the Drum Tower in Beijing.

Visitors can embark on a VR-powered mysterious adventure starting from the Drum and Bell Towers at the northern end of the Central Axis of Beijing, and leap back 700 years to the days when Dadu (the capital of the Yuan Dynasty) was being built. They will find out how Liu Bingzhong, the chief designer of the Central Axis, built it from the ground up, to explore the origin of the Central Axis and discover the Chinese wisdom behind it.

There will also be a VR experience area featuring movies, with multilingual content to become available over time. Additionally, an AI Travel Photo Machine will be set up on the site, allowing visitors to take real-time photos or upload selfies to make photos "taken" against the backgrounds in a virtual world, as well as customized commemorative products.
