Three tech tourism routes were launched in the Optics Valley on March 12, 2026, offering visitors a glimpse into the future through immersive experiences in intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence and low-altitude tourism.
The “Super Factory” route takes visitors to Xiaomi's smart appliance facility, where an air conditioner is produced every 6.5 seconds, and to HGTECH's laser technology museum and smart manufacturing workshop for a close-up view of micron-level precision cutting.
The “Artificial Intelligence”route features the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, where robots can fold clothes and make coffee, and the Wuhan AI and Supercomputing centers, where visitors can interact with the world's first large-scale multimodal model which can accept text, image, and audio.
The “Low-altitude Tourism” route offers a drone perspective at E-Hawk Technology Group Co, a helicopter tour over Longquan Mountain and Baoxie Lake, and a ride on the sky train.
Next, Hubei will continue to develop more tech tourism destinations with global appeal, supported by the 240-hour transit visa policy and improved payment services for international visitors. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
