Senior journalist of Republika Srpska calls attention to malicious media reporting about Xinjiang

Nov 06, 2025

Recently, journalists participating in the "Global South on Xinjiang Media Event" embarked on their visit to northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. During the eight-day trip, 51 journalists from 40 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America traveled across the Tianshan Mountains and witnessed firsthand Xinjiang's economic development, social stability, and the prosperity of its people living in contentment. They unanimously expressed that Xinjiang's rich and diverse culture and its dynamic innovation serve as a model, providing valuable experience for the sustainable development of the Global South.

For Ana Vojinovic, head of the Communication and Promotion Department of Radio Television of the Republika Srpska (RTRS), this was her second visit to Xinjiang. She exclaimed that she came from a region once plagued by war and conflict and criticized malicious media reporting about Xinjiang. She suggested that one way to counter such misinformation would be to invite international journalists to visit Xinjiang, allowing them to witness its progress and the lives of its people firsthand.
