Job Fair for Foreigners were successfully held in Shanghai and Hangzhou

From September 28th to 29th, 2024, the Foreign Talent Research Center, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China successfully organized job fair for foreigners in Shanghai and Hangzhou, creating an efficient face-to-face exchange platform for domestic employers and foreign job seekers in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The job fair for foreigners in Shanghai was an important part of "The 4th Shanghai Talent+ Summit". The event attracted nearly 40 employers, including renowned companies such as China Media Group, Huawei, as well as domestic universities like Tianjin University, Shanghai International Studies University, offering over 300 high-quality positions. It drew nearly 350 foreigners from more than 60 countries, including the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Pakistan,Bangladesh, Russia, etc.

On September 29th, 2024 Job Fair for Overseas Students in Overseas Returnees Town was held at ZJU-Hangzhou Global Scientific and Technological Innovation Center. Over 60 employers from across the country were invited to participate, with nearly 10 of them specifically offering positions for foreigners in various fields such as language teachers, news editors, overseas marketing directors, and financial managers. More than 100 foreigners from 24 countries, including Canada, Russia, Poland, France, Germany, and Egypt, attended the event. In addition, foreigners participated in cultural experience activities such as ancient rubbing and Chinese-style lacquer fans, experiencing the charm of Xiaoshan's intangible cultural heritage.

Some job seekers noted that the job information was abundant, helping them understand the employment prospects in various industries in China and better find job opportunities. They said that China's rapid development, open and inclusive social environment, and vast career development space were important reasons for them to choose to live and work in China. "In the future, more foreigners will fall in love with China and realize their personal values and dreams here."
