Bien Hoa, the capital of Dong Nai province in Vietnam, has a population of about 800,000. Located 30 kilometers east of Ho Chi Minh City along Highway No.1 of Vietnam, Bien Hoa is an important economic city in Southern Vietnam. With rapid economic development, Bien Hoa becomes a representative city of industrialization and modernization in Vietnam. Nanjing and Bien Hoa established friendly cooperation ties in December 2016. In May 2018, Mr. Pham Anh Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City, was invited to attend the Nanjing World Historical and Cultural Cities Expo 2018 and related activities in Nanjing, and signed the agreement of the sister-city relationship between Bien Hoa and Nanjing.
