The 2026 Suzhou International Student Job Fair was successfully held at Soochow University on October 24. Focusing on the internship and employment needs of international students, the event built an international career-development platform that connects government agencies, universities, overseas partner institutions, employers and international students.

The event was jointly organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal People's Government and Soochow University.
On-site activities included guest-sharing sessions and the Global Talk roundtable, where industry guests discussed career planning, demand for foreign-related positions, and cross-cultural workplace adaptation. They also briefed international students on workplace experience and answered their questions.

On the same day, Soochow University and Thailand's Chonprathanwittaya School reached a cooperation agreement and held an unveiling ceremony for the "International Partner School for Student Recruitment" base. The base will further broaden the university's channels for recruiting international students and deepen its long-term cooperation with overseas institutions.

The job fair brought together more than 40 companies, offering more than 100 overseas internship and employment positions. The event attracted more than 300 international students, who submitted their resumes on site and talked face to face with company representatives, connecting them precisely with internship and job opportunities.

Julia and Carla, exchange students from Spain, said they were glad to see an event like this organized in Suzhou. "It is easier to learn about different companies, and you don't have to do it yourself." Also, Julia described Suzhou as an amazing city full of contrasts. "Suzhou is great because it has a lot of contrasts. You can find this ancient city, but there are also modern parts. It feels like a very welcoming city to go and maybe in the future we will come back and find work." she said.

Ben Mahammad Sultanov from Azerbaijan traveled by car for two hours from Hangzhou to attend this job fair. "I am very happy actually. After coming here, I am not tired any more because I see many enterprises and lots of potential opportunities for us," Ben said. He is very grateful to the organizers of this event, including Soochow University and all the companies present.

Yude Solar Technologies Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of GoodWe, is expanding its overseas markets and has already established a presence in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines. This time, the company came mainly to recruit international management trainees. Xu Xuexue, HR Manager, said that the job fair served as a bridge between the university and enterprises, allowing the company to meet many students from different countries, which is very helpful for its talent selection.
