Recently, the "Medicine Heron Spreads Qi, Health Journey Together" – World Traditional Medicine Day & Fujian Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Week event kicked off vibrantly in the SM Xiamen Phase II Central Atrium. Maxim, a world record certification officer from Russia, enthusiastically stepped into this "amusement park" filled with the charm of traditional Chinese medicine. He participated in various experiential activities throughout, personally feeling the profound depth of TCM culture.

The event venue was bustling with people, and the various TCM cultural experience projects kept Maxim fully engaged. In the "Chinese Herb Identification Challenge" area, he diligently studied the knowledge of identifying Chinese medicinal materials. Staff introduced the distinguishing features of real and fake cordyceps through comparative pictures. Maxim carefully observed the morphological characteristics of each herb, occasionally sniffing the unique aromas of herbs like Chinese angelica (Danggui), dried tangerine peel (Chenpi), and mint, frequently giving thumbs up to express his amazement at the remarkable efficacy of Chinese medicinal materials.

The characteristic medicinal food products launched by Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine became a highlight. Health foods like "Ganhe Yangyuan Drink," "Yuchen Bahe Bagel," and "Yuanqi Medicinal Egg," which incorporate TCM theories, not only had unique flavors but also possessed health-preserving effects. Maxim showed great interest and posed some questions to the physicians on site. After receiving detailed answers, he gained a more intuitive understanding of the TCM concept of "medicinal and edible homology."

Subsequently, Maxim visited the free clinic experience area, where he personally tried various characteristic TCM therapies. He first experienced the mulberry branch stick therapy, feeling the comfort brought by this traditional treatment. Then, he learned about the principles and effects of the stick needle tendon scraping therapy, expressing sincere admiration for the sophistication of TCM external treatments. The physicians patiently and meticulously explained the indications and operational essentials of each therapy, giving him a deeper understanding of the TCM diagnosis and treatment system.

In the interactive experience zone, Maxim actively participated in the Chinese medicine knowledge challenge. When he drew the question, "What are the main benefits of drinking Chinese wolfberry (Gouqi) soaked in water?" he thought for a moment and answered, "Protect the eyes." The correct answer earned praise from the staff. During the riddle segment, upon learning that the answer to the riddle "Twenty-one days" was the medicinal material "Panax notoginseng (Sanqi)," he exclaimed how truly wonderful it was.

In the DIY Chinese medicinal sachet area, under the guidance of a professional physician, Maxim personally mixed several herbs with calming effects, such as Eupatorium (Peilan), Arborvitae Seed (Baiziren), Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi), and Albizia Flower (Hehuanhua), to create his own exclusive medicinal sachet. After finishing, he couldn't wait to pick up the sachet, bring it close to his nose, take a deep breath, savor the unique fragrance of the herbs, his face beaming with a satisfied smile.

The display area of TCM cultural and creative products also caught Maxim's attention. He cordially chatted with students from Xiamen Kaihe Primary School, learning about TCM-inspired creative products like mugwort hand cream, herbal soap, and soapberry accessories. These products, which integrate traditional TCM theories with modern lifestyle needs, impressed him, and he expressed admiration for the innovative development of TCM culture.

Throughout the event, Maxim explored this "amusement park" like an inquisitive child, with each experience allowing him to feel the unique charm of TCM culture. He frequently took out his phone to take photos, enthusiastically interacted with staff and residents, and fully immersed himself in this cultural feast brimming with the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine. After the event, Maxim excitedly said, "TCM culture is truly profound and extensive. Through these lively and interesting experiential activities, I deeply felt the wisdom and charm of traditional Chinese medicine. I hope to share these wonderful experiences with more people, so the world can better understand TCM culture."

This "Medicine Heron Spreads Qi, Health Journey Together" TCM Culture Week event, through its rich and diverse interactive formats, allowed citizens and foreign friends to experience the unique charm of TCM culture up close, further promoting the inheritance and development of TCM culture.
