Xianghu Laboratory is approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Government to be jointly established by the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Xiaoshan District Government. lt is a novel research and development institution headquartered at Jiangnan Sci-Tech City in the Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone. lt has a total construction area of 67,000 square meters.
To keep in line with the international cutting-edge research in agriculture and serve both national strategies and provincial technological demands, the Laboratory takes on the fundamental research of core technologies in agricultural germplasm bio-manufacturing and bio-interactions to foster national strategic scientific strength, The Laboratory aims to develop itself into a talent base, an innovation powerhouse, an industrial hub, and a source for agricultural scientific innovations with international influence showcasing top-notch innovative achievements.
