Xiamen invites you on a unique New Year's journey

Xiamen in Southeast China's Fujian Province invites you to embark on a distinctive New Year's Eve journey by offering a diverse array of activities that will blend cultural depth with ceremonial experiences: time-walks to the millennium-old mystical charm of Minnan (Southern Fujian), dazzling fireworks over the sea, creatively spectacular performances, heartwarming and fun-packed parent-child interactions, and many more.

The Minnan Timewalk, China's first Minnan-themed scenic area, will launch a series of events to create an immersive New Year experience starting from December 31st, 2025.

Performances such as fantasy-themed shows and large-scale immersive theatrical productions will take turns on stage, while activities like themed block tours and interactive parades will offer a seamless experience from day to night.

Yujian · Xiamen Sea Tour: The sea Welcomes the New Year with brilliant fireworks

"Meet U · Xiamen Sea Tour" has launched a special New Year's Eve fireworks-themed cruise route. Departing from the Heping Wharf on the evenings of December 31st, 2025 and January 1st, 2026, the cruise will sail to waters ideal for viewing fireworks, allowing citizens and visitors to immerse themselves in the breathtaking spectacle of fireworks lighting up the night sky over the shimmering waves.

Xiamen Botanical Garden is hosting a series of events at the Rose Garden, centered around the theme "nature + culture + family experience" from December 30th, 2025 to January 3rd, 2026.

The "Whimsical Botanical Garden" activity slated for 2:30 pm on January 1st, 2026 will invite families to freely color and create by drawing inspiration from real plants in the garden, expressing their hopes for the new year.

A hands-on intangible cultural heritage craft workshop will be held at 3 pm on January 2nd, 2026, allowing citizens and visitors to experience the unique charm of traditional craftsmanship up close.

Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden will hold a New Year celebration and a phoenix flower fair from the evening of December 31st, 2025 to January 3rd, 2026. From 7 to 11 pm on December 31st, three themed performance spots will be set up along the waterfront block east of the central square of the Horticulture Expo Garden, covering the front, middle, and rear sections.
Citizens and visitors can enjoy a series of carefully curated performances, including an energetic opening by a popular band at the front stage, as well as the "Horticulture Expo Garden Light Show" and the "12 Flower Goddesses Stage Show" at the central stage.
The "Minnan Golden Hits Special" will convey warmth and joy through songs in the local dialect, while jazz dance troupes and bands will continue to unleash the youthful energy of the New Year's Eve celebration.
